  <p><strong>Education:</strong><br />
He obtained a master&#39;s degree in marine engineering and maritime technology at the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Rijeka, Rijeka, 2015.</p>

<p><strong>Key qualifications:</strong><br />
During his work experience so far, Nikola Budimir worked as a production engineer / technologist at the Kraljevica shipyard and on reconstructions / repairs and maintenance of ships at the Viktor Lenac overhaul shipyard. He gained experience working in 3D programs necessary for shipbuilding and the production of 3D reconstructions and design documentation of ships. He worked in several project offices, such as Ximar, Rijeka Acoustic Engineering and IHC.<br />
<br />
Also, while working and training in the specialized program Rhinoceros V5 / V6 for shipbuilding and maritime, he developed experience in making 3D reconstructions and 3D visualizations of ships such as bracera, pasara, modern ships (20th century) but also ancient wrecks and large Adriatic wooden sailing ships. By working on such projects, he acquired the necessary knowledge of making 2D CAD graphic documentation and gained knowledge of the application of 3D print technology in the field of making reconstructions of ships and boats. He actively uses 3D scanning technology of ship and wreck models as one of the main tools in his approach to the process of reversible engineering in the field of reconstruction, preservation and documentation of old ships.</p>

<p><strong>Scientific activities:</strong><br />
Participation in the 29th Zagreb Nautical Fair 2020 as a member of the ViaKornel team and a visit to the international nautical fair Dusseldorf Boot 2020.</p>

<ul>
	<li>Introduction to 3D modeling and 3D printing, lectures and workshops for students of the Maritime School in Bakar, marine engineering and nautical directions;</li>
	<li>Production of a 3D printed model of a traditional boat of the Lo&scaron;inj pasara type.</li>
</ul>

<p>Published article in the specialized magazine Nautical Exchange, number 224, on the topic of 3D modeling, an indispensable part of small shipbuilding.</p>
